The International Cheese Council of Canada (ICCC)
was created in 1976 in response to Canada’s imposition of quantitative restrictions on imports of specialty cheese. Members of the ICCC hold about 75 per cent of Canada’s Annual Cheese Import Quota. The quota is allocated each year to traditional importers or their successors.
