Use of Membership Registration Service, Event Registration Service and/or Members Area Login indicates your acknowledgment and acceptance of the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these terms and conditions, please do not use this site.

Term Termination

These terms and conditions are applicable to you upon your accessing the site and/or completing the registration process. These terms and conditions, or any part of them, may be terminated by the Canadian Association of Importers and Exporters (I.E.Canada) without notice at any time, for any reason. The provisions relating to Copyrights, Trademarks, Participation Disclaimer, and Indemnification shall survive any termination.

Copyrights

The content included in this site, including but not limited to text, graphics or code is copyrighted as a collective work under the Canadian copyright laws, and is the property of I.E.Canada unless another party, identified by the name or logo on materials posted, is identified as being the copyright owner. If another party is noted as a copyright holder, please contact that party for permission to use the materials in question. The collective work includes works that are licensed to I.E.Canada.

Permission is granted to electronically copy and print hard copy portions of this site for the sole purpose of placing an order I.E.Canada or purchasing I.E.Canada products. You may display and, subject to any expressly stated restrictions or limitations relating to specific material, download or print portions of the material from the different areas of the site solely for your own non-commercial use. Any other use, including but not limited to the reproduction, distribution, display or transmission of the content of this site is strictly prohibited, unless authorized by I.E.Canada or the relevant copyright holder. You further agree not to change or delete any proprietary notices from materials downloaded from the site.

Trademarks

All trademarks, service marks and trade names of I.E.Canada used in the site are trademarks or registered trademarks of the Canadian Association of Importers and Exporters (I.E.Canada).

I.E.Canada Membership Terms and Conditions

Memberships are not transferable and are valid until December 31st of the year joined and are renewable on an annual basis. For new memberships begun between January 1 and June 30, new member companies will pay the annual amount. For new memberships begun between July 1 – August 31, companies will pay 50% of annual fee. New memberships between September 1 – December 31 will be prorated accordingly. Renewals will be invoiced for January 1 – December 31. Once the annual membrership fees are paid, refunds of the fee will not be granted, in whole or in part, should a member decide to resign their membership part way through the year.

Members that are not in good standing by February 28th of the year will have their memberships automatically cancelled at midnight on that date. An additional administrative fee of $75 will be charged to members for renewal after cancellation process has taken place.

The membership belongs to the company that has rendered payment to I.E.Canada and not to the individual who registered the member company. By entering an individual’s email address into the member company contact profile, the individual will receive I.E.Canada emails advising of upcoming events and seminars.

I.E.Canada Event Terms and Conditions

Events may consist of seminars, webinars, conferences, workshops, or other forms of advertised events whether attendance is free or if an admission fees is charged to attend.

Your name and contact information collected during the registration process may be shared with event participants and the speakers in the form of a participant list. By registering for the event you are consenting to the use and disclosure of the information for this purpose. Registration information will not be shared with event exhibitors, sponsors and other conference delegates.

I.E.Canada reserves the right to cancel events at any time prior to the scheduled date; in this case, our liability is limited to a full refund of the session fee. Confirmation of registration to any specific event will be sent by email or fax before the event or workshop. Payment is due upon registration.

Registrants who do not show up for the event in question are not eligible for a refund.

Cancellations received by our offices by mail/email five (5) business days prior to the event are fully refundable and subject to an administration fee of $75 plus HST. Refunds will not be given after that date, however, delegate substitution is permitted.

I.E.Canada makes all reasonable efforts to ensure that information presented at events is accurate and current, but I.E.Canada does not take any responsibility for errors or omissions made by any speaker at I.E.Canada events, including I.E.Canada staff members who speak at such events.

Typographical Errors

In the event that an I.E.Canada product, event or service is mistakenly listed at an incorrect price, I.E.Canada reserves the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed at the incorrect price. I.E.Canada reserves the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, I.E.Canada shall issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the incorrect price.

Use of Site

Harassment in any manner or form on the site, including via e-mail, chat, or by use of obscene or abusive language, is strictly forbidden. Impersonation of others, including I.E.Canada employees, host, or representative, as well as other members or visitors on the site is prohibited.

You may not upload to, distribute, or otherwise publish through the site any content which is libelous, defamatory, obscene, threatening, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, abusive, illegal, or otherwise objectionable which may constitute or encourage a criminal offense, violate the rights of any party or which may otherwise give rise to liability or violate any law.

You may not upload commercial content on the site or use the site to solicit others to join or become members of any other commercial online service or other organization.

Participation Disclaimer

I.E.Canada does not and cannot review all communications and materials posted to or created by users accessing the site, and are not in any manner responsible for the content of these communications and materials. You acknowledge that by providing you with the ability to view and distribute user-generated content on the site, I.E.Canada is merely acting as a passive conduit for such distribution and is not undertaking any obligation or liability relating to any contents or activities on the site.

However, I.E.Canada reserves the right to block or remove communications or materials that it determines to be (a) abusive, defamatory, or obscene, (b) fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading, (c) in violation of a copyright, trademark or; other intellectual property right of another or (d) offensive or otherwise unacceptable to I.E.Canada at its sole discretion.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless I.E.Canada, its officers, directors, employees, and suppliers (collectively the “Service Providers”) from and against all losses, expenses, damages and costs, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, resulting from any violation of these terms and conditions or any activity related to your account or company membership (including negligent or wrongful conduct) by you or any other person accessing our site using your internet account.

Third-Party Links

In an attempt to provide increased value to our visitors, I.E.Canada may link to sites operated by third parties. However, even if the third party is affiliated with I.E.Canada, I.E.Canada has no control over these linked sites, all of which have separate privacy and data collection practices, independent of I.E.Canada.

These linked sites are only for your convenience and therefore you access them at your own risk. Nonetheless, I.E.Canada seeks to protect the integrity of its web site and the links placed upon it and therefore requests any feedback on not only its own site, but for sites it links to as well (including if a specific link does not work).
