New United States duty drawback rules, adopted pursuant to the Trade Facilitation and Trade Enforcement Act (TFTEA), entered into force on February 24, 2018. These changes greatly expand opportunities for duty drawback in respect of goods exported from the United States, and simplify many of the rules for drawback refunds. The webinar will explore the important changes in the law and discuss how companies can prepare to take advantage of them. It will also discuss the implementation process and some of the steps which United States Customs and Border Protection is taking to interpret and administer the new law.
