On February 24, 2016, President Obama signed into law P.L. 114-125, the Trade Facilitation and Trade Enforcement Act of 2015. This Act is the first comprehensive set of Trade marching orders for US Customs and Border Protection since the establishment of the Department of Homeland Security in 2003.
The Act introduced new import requirements as well as significant changes (read: increases) to the CBP’s enforcement capabilities and methods. If you don’t understand the impact of these changes, your company could be at risk.
The webinar will cover key areas of the TFTEA and their impact on the Trade Community. You will gain a comprehensive understanding of TFTEA and hear about strategies to manage the risks inherent in CBP’s focused enforcement activities.
