Safe Food For Canadians Regulation Webinar

The draft text of the Safe Food for Canadians Regulation was released by CFIA in April 2015.  It is anticipated that the regulation will be finalized and come into force in 2016.

 This webinar will provide an overview of the licensing requirements for importers, exporters and domestic food producers.  It will identify new compliance requirements for license holders and the impact of the regulation on non-resident importers of food into Canada. Exemptions from the regulation will be identified.  The outcome based approach to the regulation will be outlined including the concept of incorporation by reference and how the outcome based regulations will set in place a new standard for industry compliance, unique to Canada.
