CIIT CARM Survey Results
We reached out our members to gather feedback on the potential CARM motion, and here is what we heard: 80% of member respondents voted in favour of the motion proposed by MP Baldinelli to defer CARM until April 2025. 90% of import/legal/NRI members and 73% of brokerage/freight forwarders who responded voted in favour to support the motion to delay CARM until April 2025.

IE CANADA AND 19 LEADING ASSOCIATIONS SUBMIT CARM IS NOT READY
April 8, 2024 - IE Canada and 19 leading business Associations filed a supplementary brief with The Standing Committee for International Trade ( CIIT ) regarding CARM. "We urge the CIIT to continue its study on CARM and adopt industries recommendations".
